Water Falling into the Stour
There's a pathway alongside the River Stour between Chatham and Canterbury, Kent. Along the path, more the Chartham end, you can't miss this beautiful scene.
What initially attracted me to it was the still pool of water just before the water falls into the Stour. But the longer I looked at it, the more I loved the scene as a whole, from the old house hidden behind the trees, to the wooden bridge, then the tiny rapids, then the reflective, still pool, before the water falls into the gently flowing Stour, all framed by two large ancient trees and their over-arching branches.
This is a favourite rural Kent image of mine.
