Rural South Iceland
Full disclosure, I can't name this village-small town.
I stopped here simply because the location of the settlement, alongside Route 1 and nestled under a mountainous cliff and frozen stream, encapsulated rural Icelandic life. I stood there for some time just imagining what it might be like to live in such an isolated, beautiful place.
If I'm ever lucky enough to return to South Iceland, I'm sorely tempted to seek out this place again and stay.
